Classic Drakkar Dragon Sail Model Ship
This Drakkar ship model will make the decoration of the room in which it will be installed an exceptional touch. This one has been designed with a model assembly, so it can be dismantled.
Named "Ormen Lange" (Long Serpent) by King Olaf Tryggvesso, the Drakkar was the most famous warship of its time. Decorated with a dragon-headed figurehead, it could reach considerable dimensions (up to 48 m in length). Protected by very high-level basting, with rows of overlapping edges, the Drakkar had to be light and extremely maneuverable.
The Drakkar Viking Small Version Longship is an exceptional replica of the Drakkar Viking longship or "dragon ship" used by the Vikings between the 7th and 10th centuries. This fully assembled model features a visible planking hull with a gold-painted line of shields along both sides of the model, a metal dragon head, hand-stitched sail, and two sets of wooden oars, and arrives ready to display with the wooden stand and brass nameplate.
